Release 0.2.33 - 0.2.35

Zorven 0.2.33 - 0.2.35: Chinese language support, zorven access with the client key, Zorven Apps plan limits and a more resilient platform

A summary of releases 0.2.33 to 0.2.35. Your client updates automatically; to update by hand, run zorven update. The desktop app and the CLI ship together under the same version number.

Chinese (Simplified) language support

  • Dashboard: a new 中文 option in the language picker. Dates, numbers and relative times use Chinese formatting, and the dashboard opens in Chinese on first visit when your browser language is Chinese.
  • Website: every marketing page is now available in Chinese under /zh/. The updates page and its RSS feed live at /zh/updates.
  • CLI and desktop: all output, help and error messages are in Chinese. Pick the language in zorven settings or in the desktop Settings; if unset, the system language is used.
  • Visitor pages: the bot check page, the CAPTCHA widget, tunnel sign-in and web door pages open in Chinese based on the visitor's language.
  • Emails: announcement emails and subscription pages are in Chinese. Announcements can now be written in four languages.

Private network

  • zorven access works with the client key: no separate API key needed. If a Zorven client is running on the device it is used; otherwise the session opens with the device's client key. Available on all plans.
  • The session opens with the device identity and its owning user; only targets shared with that user are visible.

Zorven Apps

  • Per-plan limits on the number of apps and monthly app traffic: Free 1 app / 5 GB, Hobby 2 / 20 GB, Pro 5 / 100 GB, Team 20 / 500 GB, Enterprise unlimited. Preview environments do not count.
  • Over the limit, only app tunnels are slowed down; your other tunnels are not affected. Track usage with the bars on the Apps page in the dashboard.
  • Re-deploying the same commit or image tag no longer starts a new deployment; use force if you need to.

Plans

  • Port sharing (zorven share) is available on all plans. Joining a network over SOCKS (zorven connect) is on Team and above.

Resilience

  • Safe retries: critical API calls accept an Idempotency-Key header. Resending the same request after a network drop does not run the operation twice.
  • Smarter retries: email delivery and log export retry transient failures with growing back-off and stop on permanent errors.
  • Signed log export: records sent to external destinations carry X-Zorven-Signature (HMAC) and X-Zorven-Delivery headers, and you can rotate the signing secret.
  • Live dashboard: a single live connection reflects tunnel and device changes instantly; refreshing pauses in hidden tabs, reducing server load.
  • GitHub webhook deliveries are not processed twice, and the same person can no longer end up with two pending invitations at once.
  • Database connection pool and query timeouts were retuned for busy moments, and HTTP calls in the server, client and desktop app now have timeouts.

Website and privacy

  • Analytics notice: you can turn off cookieless, anonymous measurement with the Decline button in the notice; your choice is remembered.
  • Fonts are served from our own servers; no requests go to Google Fonts.
  • Privacy and cookie policies updated: request and response bodies are not stored by default, and are stored encrypted only when the tunnel owner turns capture on. Tunnel visitor cookies and the 1-90 day log retention periods are documented.
  • Pricing and documentation pages were brought in line with current features.
